10/16/20 Updates: Unlocking Finances

Last week we finished the Feast of Tabernacles. Now we are in a transitional time of year. During this time God will often bring breakthroughs and he will spark a desire for something more in your life.

Over the next month be prepared for major transitions. If things in your life start shifting be of good cheer because it is God repositioning things for your good. But, it can often look scary because it will require faith and work to go through the doors he opens. 

The Financial Blueprint

Over the next 3-4 weeks in the Abundant Life Blueprint we will be discussing the Financial Blueprint. To get us started here are the 4 keys that unlock finances in our lives. 

1. Obedience and Applied Faith - In Deuteronomy 15 God says that if the people would obey him there would be no poor people in the land, but then later in the same chapter God says, there will always be poor people, meaning that people wouldn't obey. Taking action on the nudges, things in our conscience, good ideas, and steps God asks us to take is the first key to unlocking finances. 
2. Rhythm: Money has a big timing component. Taking action quickly when we know what to do is important. Think of buying a house or stock. The timing of when you buy or sell can make or break the investment. 
3. Trust: Money is relational. We can't buy, sell, give, or receive alone. First we must prove that we trust God. He wants to prove to us that he is our source of supply. When we trust him money flows. Then we must prove ourselves trustworthy by being people who do what they say, are honest, on time, and knowledgable. 
4. Flow: When trust is high money flows. Money must flow to be healthy. When people worry our doubt their financial future they tend to hoard and hang onto money. It is also important to keep an eye on cash flow. The flow of money is more important than the accumulation of money.
