7 Dates With Jesus Part 9 Jubilee

In the Old Testament every 50th year was called the Jubilee. During the Jubilee all debts were forgiven and the people were restored to the inheritance God gave them. It was a resetting of things or a new beginning. When Jesus started his ministry he read from Isaiah 61 and finished by proclaiming the Year of the Lord's Favor. Jesus is your Jubilee.

Summary of Jubilee

Jesus has set you free to be you and he wants to give you a new beginning in life. He wants to restore you back to God and his unique plan for your life that combines your talents, gifts, and experiences. Nothing you have been through in life will be wasted. He has set you free to follow this plan but the world wants to pressure you to conform to the mold rather than being the unique person you were created to be. 

In order to walk out this plan for your life, God as a faithful loving Father will discipline us to make sure we get it right. No discipline is pleasant at the time, but if we will keep our hearts receptive to his training he will lead us to something better for our lives than we could ever imagine.
