A Bigger Goal

When I was playing college baseball I had a hitting coach who could transform hitters in one day. The first thing he always did was give them a different plan and goal for when they stepped into the batters box. 

He would say "most people hit with a goal of not striking out or hitting a single, but the goal of baseball is to score the most runs. Every time you hit your goal is to change the scoreboard. This means you need to drive the ball and hit home runs and doubles" 

Once the bigger goal was established the next step was to teach the hitters to only swing at pitches that would help them change the scoreboard. He would applaud from the dugout when hitters didn't swing at a strike, if it wasn't their pitch. 

Next week we are starting the Miracle Year Class. The goal of the class is to finish with a Miracle Year Plan that changes the scoreboard of your life. This plan is the key to creating breakthroughs and is something only you can do. It combines your gifts, talents, stories, and experiences into a bigger vision and plan. 

Once the plan is established the key is to focus on the plan, and not swing at other things. 

My goal is to keep the class size smaller so that we can help each individual get clear on their plan and implement everything successfully.
