Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
This time of the year is often a major time of transition as God shifts things around. It's also a time of year when it gets dark early. During these times his word is a lamp for our feet.
Job 29:3 also says, "When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness," and Psalm 18:28 says "For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness."
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God's word is a light that illuminates our path. And we are asking him to help us understand how His word light's our path and leads us through darkness.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In our health and fitness lets work on increasing our self-control, which is a fruit of the spirit. We can do this in our nutrition by eating the food that is needed to nourish our bodies but put the brakes on all the extras. In our fitness we can practice training under control and by doing the work that builds our body but stopping before we get into training that is overly taxing on the body.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
