Here is today's communion meditation.
How do we practically cherish other people? I think it is a matter of the heart that starts with us understanding that God cherishes us and has intentions to make us great. God has made the covenant commitment to cherish us and continually do good for us all the time, even when we miss it. For us to cherish others I believe it takes a heart commitment, to doing good all the time. It means moving past retaliating, avoiding people, and giving the silent treatment and choosing to do good all the time. But to get to this place takes a firm decision and we must get it established in our hearts. And the way to establish this New Covenant in our hearts is with meditation and consistent practice. Keep meditating and thinking on God's grace and how he cherishes you, and eventually it will be a natural outflow from you to others.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God cherishes us, and we are asking for his help to cherish others the way he cherishes us.
Today's Health/Workout Tip
On the Daily Workout there is a section with bodyweight training...Situps, pushups, and squats. I consider these basic exercises to be the foundation of fitness and if you are beginner a great goal is to master these exercises. Start with what you can do and progress over time. This may mean starting with sitting up out of a recliner, doing pushups on a countertop, and squatting down just a few inches. The key to progressing is consistent practice. As you progress you can move to harder levels. For example, you might start with pushups on a countertop, then go to your knees, then to your toes, then you can start to elevate your feet. I have seen many people's health and fitness transform by simply improving their ability to move their own bodyweight.
I am praying for you.
