I once heard a story from business mentor Jay Abraham about the principle of access. During a seminar someone asked him about the best way to raise $10 million in order to build a factory. His response was you don't need to raise the $10 million or build the factory. Find a factory that is already built that is not using it during the night hours and offer to partner with them and split the profits in exchange for using the factory during the night. The businessman took the advice and ended up splitting several million dollars in profits with an existing factory without having to go through all of the trouble of raising $10 million and building a factory. This is the power of the principle of access.
Romans 5:1-5 says
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Through faith in Jesus, we have access to God's grace and in today's communion we are thanking God for access and asking him to help us understand all he has given us access to and walk in it at a higher level.
Today's Workout Health Tip
In the world of health and fitness everything is about the short term... 14 days, 21 days, 90 days, etc. I have found it's better to take a longer-term approach. To take action and move in the right direction every day but to think longer in terms of the next year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, or longer. If the approach we are taking is not sustainable over longer time frames it's usually not the best choice because it puts us on the health and fitness roller coaster.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
