Balancing Supply & Demand

Listen to the Audio

Lately we have been talking about supply and demand. In the Old Covenant a lot of demand was put on the people, but they didn't have sufficient supply within themselves to meet the demands, and they always fell short. But in the New Covenant the tables have been turned and God is now the source of supply. And he always supplies more than enough but we must learn to receive his supply and get it flowing through us out into the world where we see the result or fruit of his supply.

As I was thinking about supply and demand I began to research the topic and one of the phrases that kept coming up was balancing supply and demand. In the marketplace too much supply is not good because it wastes resources. It is good for supply and demand to be balanced. God has an unlimited inexhaustible supply of everything we need, but we must learn to increase our demand on this supply.

But how do we do this?

I think much of it comes down to pressure. Are we putting pressure and demands on ourselves and other people or are we putting the pressure and demands on God. God's supply is always more than enough and sufficient for every demand, but we can limit his supply by trusting in ourselves or others more than his supply, and he is not going to waste it when there is no demand put on it.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God's supply is always more than enough. And we are asking for his help to understand how he balances supply and demand and to walk in this the way he intended.

Today's Workout/Health Tip

One of the best ways for us to practice balancing supply and demand is with our exercise. God is supplying the health, energy, strength, and time for exercise today, but to tap into it we must put a demand on it. We can do this by simply showing up for our workout with a good attitude and trusting that the supply is there. The human body has an amazing capacity for work, more than we think. As we get into the consistent habit of exercise we can increase the demand of the workout over time. The more we trust in the supply the more we can increase the demand.

I am praying for you.
