This time of year is a reminder of a fresh start and new beginnings. This is a time when God often starts to move us to new levels and an important part of moving to new levels is growing in confidence before God.
1 John 3:19-23 tells us how we can be confident before God. It says...
This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God is greater than our hearts. And we are asking God to help us set our hearts at rest in his presence and get rid of any condemnation so that we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask because we keep his commands.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
One of the keys to new levels in our workouts is growing in confidence. When we get to a place of confidence at a level in our workouts, it seems to cause a surge to the next level, and then we must grow confident at the new level.
I am praying for you.
