Creating Alignment

Here is today's communion meditation.

Creating alignment in our lives is very important. When we are in alignment, we have everything moving in one direction rather than being pulled in many different directions. To align means to put into the proper place relative to other things and to put into a straight line. Creating alignment leads to more order in our lives and I think of order as the key that unlocks the flow of grace. When there is order and things are in their proper position grace flows, everything is easier, there is protection, and so much more. 

This is a very important lesson I have learned.... No alignment = no grace flowing. This is a very big deal. 

In our physical bodies if our spine is out of alignment it leads to pain, poor communication in the body, and a lack of blood flow to the area. 

Here are some areas to get aligned in our lives.

First, we must align with the light. We must align our lives with God's ways by submitting to him.

Then we must align our head and our heart. God has given us our conscience to help us align our head and our heart.

Then we must align with levels of authority in our lives. God has placed people in leadership positions in our lives. This could be governmental leadership, church leadership, bosses, coaches, parents, and husbands and wives. These levels are for our good and protection, and we must submit our vision and actions to these levels of authority. But, in pride and rebellion we can get out of line. This was the original sin of Satan, he thought he was better than God and rebelled. 

Finally, we need to align our big picture vision and our plan for today. We need a vision that is aligned with God's vision and the people in leadership over us, and then we must get our daily actions to line up with that vision. 

In today's communion we are thanking God for the opportunity adjust and get back in alignment if we are out and we are asking him to show us any areas that we are out of alignment.
