Do Whatever Your Hand Finds To Do

Here is today's communion meditation.

 In 1 Samuel 10:6-7 Samuel is getting ready to anoint Saul as the King of Israel and he tells him, "Then the Spirit of the LORD will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be transformed into a different person. Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you."

Tomorrow is Pentecost and there are a lot of similarities in this verse and what happened on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came in like a rushing wind, Peter prophesied, and the people were transformed. 

Something I have found personally is that we can have our own personal day of Pentecost, where the Spirit rushes upon us and transforms us into a different person. 

In today's communion is a time of gratitude for the reminder of Pentecost and we are asking God to help us do what our hand finds to do, because we trust that God is with us.
