Here is the message for September.
There are several important dates on God's Calendar coming soon.
Don't Despise Small Beginnings
As I was thinking about the month of September Zechariah 4:6-10 kept coming to mind. Here is what it says...
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’ Then the word of the Lord came to me: ‘The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you’”
Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”
After thinking about this I looked up the name Zerubbabel and it means... Seed of Babel or Pressed out of Babel.
This is a time of year where there may be an increase in pressure, but that pressure may be pressing you into what God has for you. As you go through this process don't despise small beginnings. Everything in the kingdom of God starts as a seed and grows over time. As the seed grows Jesus is the capstone that holds it all together. A capstone sits at the top of an arch or angle where two sides come together. It joins everything together. Jesus is referred to as the both the cornerstone and the capstone. A cornerstone serves as a reference or standard to compare against and a capstone holds things together so that they don't fall apart. As you go through the pressure he can sustain you and hold it all together until you are pressed out of Babel.
