In July our message was Confidence Through Praise. For me personally this was probably one of the most impactful lessons we have done. Through praising God consistently and filling up the basket of praise we can grow more confident in our faith.
Through the month I began to implement a very simple routine of praising God both morning and evening. In the Old Testament temple David said he was given plans in writing from the hand of God for how everything was to run. Part of the plan was the Levites were to stand praising God both morning and evening.
This is something I started implementing for a few minutes in the morning and before bed. I would praise God for who he is, all that he has done for us in Christ, and all that he has done for me personally, including things I am believing for but haven't seen the answers show up yet.
Doing this consistently seemed to greatly increase my capacity to believe God and my confidence in him grew a lot. It felt like my capacity to receive from him was greatly expanding on the inside.
This is a very simple practice that only takes a few minutes per day, but it can be life changing. It's also important to remember that the praise needs to be physically expressed through our bodies and not just thought about. This helps to unite our entire spirit, soul, and body.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for who God is and all that he's done. And we are asking for help to keep growing in our praise of him so that our capacity to receive from him continues to expand.
Today's Health/Fitness Tip
Expanding our capacity to do more work is a big part of fitness. It comes through consistent repetition at the basic fundamentals.
I am praying for you.
