God is Our Niche

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.

It seems like every year around this time God reminds me that he is our niche. In the business world there is a teaching that says..."the riches are in the niches." Meaning that the way to prosper is to find a very small niche and serve that niche well. 

I think that God is supposed to be our niche. If we will make him our niche and focus on living in a way that is pleasing to him he will help us find His unique plan for our life, set us free, and help us become a blessing to a lot of people in the process. If you have a business or ministry this week is a reminder to make God our niche by creating something that is pleasing to him.

If we work for someone else God is still our niche, meaning we really work for him. This greatly simplifies life, when we only have to focus on pleasing one person, rather than many. And what is pleasing to him is walking in love, by obeying his commands, loving ourselves, loving people, and doing whatever we are doing with excellence because he is doing the work through us. 

We have talked about installing a weekly filter at the top of our journal every night. The filter is just a short phrase that we write that serves as a reminder to keep things top of mind. 

Here is this week's filter... God is my niche.
