Hidden Sources of Profit

This is the monthly message for August.

This morning I woke up to these words playing over and over on the inside... Hidden sources of profit. 

God is a rewarder and a pattern in scripture is that he has hidden sources of wealth. As we make it our goal to magnify God with our lives and to make people great an increase in money only magnifies this more. These sources have not been hidden from us, but hidden for us, in order to help us walk out what he put us here to do and be a blessing. 

Here are some verses to meditate on... 

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you how to profit, who directs you in the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17

Deuteronomy 33:19 They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand.

Isaiah 45:3 I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. This was spoken to King Cyrus way before he was ever born. Cyrus set God's people free and helped to restore God's temple. Legend has it that as soon as he gave the command to restore God's temple his men found great amounts of gold and silver buried in Babylon. Notice that Cyrus finding these hidden riches led to him knowing that God was truly the Lord. 

Matthew 13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field

On the video today there is a special communion meditation for receiving this from God. These hidden sources are not something we can figure out on our own, God leads us to them at the perfect time. Based on the scriptures above it appears that these hidden sources of profit are found by faith, following God's lead, being teachable, and having it in your heart to use to the money to be a blessing to God and people.
