Hold Fast Your Confession

When God brings breakthroughs or answers to prayer into our life how do we make sure we keep them? For example, I have heard of many stories where people were healed by God but then the symptoms came back. Lately God has been teaching me about holding fast our confession. This means that when we keep remembering what he did by praising him for it, it helps us to keep everything he sends our way. A good practice for us to develop is spending a few minutes every day remembering what God has done in our life, because it will help us to keep walking the answers he sends and not lose them.

Here are a few scriptures to meditate on today about holding fast...

Hebrews 3:6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

Hebrews 3:14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,

Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Today's communion is a time of gratitude for all God has done in our lives. And we are asking him for insight into holding fast our confession and for help to walk this out from this point on.

Today's Health/Fitness Tip

One of the most important keys to seeing God's grace flow is learning to give grace to ourselves. And this is often one of the hardest lessons for us to learn. We tend to put a lot of pressure on ourselves and beat ourselves up when we mess up. Exercise and nutrition is one of the best ways to practice giving ourselves grace. Is the pressure to eat right and exercise on us or on God? When we miss a workout or have a bad meal do we give ourselves grace and let it go or do we beat ourselves up over it.

I am praying for you.
