Recently we have been making some decisions as a family about school for our kids. We prayed about it and sought God, but we didn't have a clear answer from him. But after discussing it we were all in agreement about which direction to go and it seemed good. After this I was reminded of Acts 15, where there are three different times when the disciples made decisions by following what seemed good.
In my experience sometimes we will pray and not have a clear answer from God, but one path will seem good. I think this is another way he uses to lead us.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about how to make decisions with him and how/when to follow what seems good.
Here are the scriptures from Acts 15...
Acts 15:24-28 Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, 25 it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements:
Acts 15:33-34 And after they had spent some time, they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. But it seemed good to Silas to remain there
Today's Health/Fitness Tip
This month we have been talking about compressing time. One area to compress time is in fitness. Look for ways to shave small amounts of time from your workout. One way I like to do this is by setting a timer for 20 minutes and getting it all done in that time. More gets done in compressed time. When compressing time in workouts make sure not to rush. Be quick but don't hurry!
I am praying for you.
