Jesus Became Sin

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread start next Monday 4/22, and in the Old Testament this would have been a time when the people were cleaning out the old leaven to make room for the new.

Part of the cleanout process is understanding that Jesus became sin for us.

1 Corinthians 5:21 says, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

The original word for "sin," used in the verse can be translated as to miss the mark or failure.

We could read this verse as Jesus became a failure for us, so that we could be right with God.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that Jesus became sin for us, and we are asking God to help us understand this to walk in the fullness of the righteousness we've been given.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

When we fail or miss the mark in our health and fitness, we must learn to make quick corrections to get back on track. Through the years of working in the gym, I've seen that the natural tendency for most of us is that when we start to slip up, it's easy to veer even further off course. We must give ourselves grace and get back on track quickly.

I am praying for you.

Daniel

P.S. Remember the Master is with you, he loves you, and nothing is impossible for him.
