Lately we have been talking about supply and demand. In the New Covenant the tables have been turned and God is now the source of our supply for the demands that are coming at us in life. He has an unlimited inexhaustible supply of everything we need, but we must learn to receive his supply and see it flowing through us in our life. It is good for supply and demand to be balanced, because if he supplied too much it would be wasted and could expire.
In Deuteronomy 28 it says that Heaven is the storehouse of God's bounty. I believe something God is showing me lately is that his supply for our lives is kept in Heaven until the demand is there and there is a perfect timing for it to be released. It is kept in Heaven because no thief can break in and steal or destroy and it won't rust or expire.
Here are some verses to meditate on today...
1 Peter 1:3-5 - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Traditionally we have interpreted these verses as store things up in Heaven where we can't touch them until we die, but I believe God is showing me that he also stores things for our life now that are kept in Heaven for us until the perfect time.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that what God has stored up in Heaven for us is better than we have imagined. And we are asking for wisdom, understanding, and insight of what he has stored up for us, and for him to help us receive and walk in whatever he has stored up for us that is meant for this life/age.
Today's Workout/Health Tip
Something I feel God is prompting me to do in my workouts is dividing the sets I was doing into 2 sets. For example, where I was doing 1 set of 8 shoulder presses, I have started dividing this into 2 sets of 4 reps. By doing it this way I am still doing 8 total reps but the weight I am using for all 8 reps is slightly heavier and my nervous system is also activated at a higher level. The idea for this came from how our bodies grow. Our bodies start as one cell, then divide into 2, 4, 8, and so on. When the cells are complete, and everything is mature they divide to create new cells. After a while of practicing 2 sets of 4 I may divide again and start doing 4 sets of 2.
I am praying for you.
