Something I feel God has been teaching me about lately is the importance of our tendons and ligaments. If you study scriptures about the tendons and ligaments it consistently says that they supply or nourish our bodies and knit or weave them together. They are the connection with the head and one of the biggest keys to growth and increase.
Here are some scriptures on this to meditate on today...
Ephesians 4:15-16
NKJ - but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
NIV - Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Colossians 2:19
NKJ - and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
In today's communion we are thanking God for the amazing way he designed our bodies. And we are asking for wisdom and understanding of what these scriptures mean for us and to help us walk in them.
Today's Workout/Health Tip
One of the initial goals of our strength training should be to strengthen the tendons and ligaments. This helps to build the structure of our body and then once the structure is built we can increase much faster. I think the key to this is taking our time and not rushing strength. Give the joints and connective tissue time to strengthen.
I am praying for you.
