Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately the topic of "lift up your head," keeps coming up and the Bible has a lot to say about this phrase.
Here are some verses to meditate on today.
But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head. Psalm 3:3
And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; - Psalm 27:6
Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in! Psalm 24;7
The Hebrew word used for "lift up," in these verses can also be translated as offering. There is a connection between lifting up our heads, an offering, and God's glory coming in.
And Jesus said in Luke 21:28 when the end time signs are taking place to, "straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what he is trying to teach us about lifting up our head, and the connection between offerings and his glory coming in.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Everything is connected to the head. Where you are looking when doing an exercise makes a difference. Lifting up the head seems to align the body and increase strength and balance.
