Hebrews 11:6 says... And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
God is a rewarder and one of the keys to our faith is the belief that he wants to do good for us. We don't seek him for the rewards, we seek him for him, but he is a rewarder, it is part of who he is. He can't help it, because it gives him joy to see his people thriving.
Psalm 35:27 AMP says... Let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, who delights and takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
God takes pleasure and delights in seeing his people do well and it magnifies his name. But this means learning to do things a different way. If you are the source of your own success then it doesn't magnify God. There are two different systems that we can live under. We can stress and strive to make ourselves great and put our hope and trust in money or we can seek after God and walk in love, trusting that he will not only take care of us but also reward us. One way magnifies ourselves and stuff while the other magnifies God.
Here are some verses to meditate on today...
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment - 1 Timothy 6:17
If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. Ecclesiastes 2:26
Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart. Ecclesiastes 5:19-20
I am praying for you.
