Miracle Year Planning

Back in 2018 in the time between Christmas and New Year's Day I felt God was nudging me to create a plan for the next year with him. When I finished the plan, my daughter was playing with a toy ice cream set she had received for Christmas. She said she needed to sell her ice cream, so I asked her how she sells her ice cream. Her answer repeatedly was..."61." 

Her answer didn't make sense but then I heard God speak to me on the inside saying... Go read Isaiah 61.

The title of Isaiah 61 is The Year of the Lord's Favor, and it is the passage of scripture that Jesus reads from the scroll when starting his ministry proclaiming freedom for the captives. 

Even though that next year didn't look exactly as I expected it did become a Miracle Year, the Year of the Lord's Favor. 

Every year since then I have taken this time between Christmas and New Year's Day to seek God for his plan for the upcoming year. God has a plan for our lives that is the best plan.

Here is the way that I create my Miracle Year Plan...

• What is the one thing to focus on? 
• What does success in this one thing look like? This is often a bullet point list that defines success from every angle. 
• What are the top 3 priorities to focus on that make the one thing happen?
• What steps do you know to take? You won't know all the step, but what do you know to do this year?

In today's communion we are thanking God for his beautiful plan for our lives and we are asking for his guidance to create our Miracle Year Plan.
