Narrow Niches

There is a saying in the business world that "the riches are in the niches." Many business experts teach narrowing down your niche to a very small segment and then catering specifically to those people.
The trainings usually go something like this...
- Narrow down your niche to a narrow group of your ideal clients/customers and eliminate everybody else.
- Spend a lot of time talking with them about their wants, desires, needs, and problems.
- Cater your product/service to what they want so that they co-create the product/service with you.
- Constantly get feedback from them to keep making your product/service better
- Focus only on this niche and exclude everyone else
Something about this whole process never felt right to me and I finally figured out what the issue was...
Everyone is targeting the wrong niche. We are only supposed to serve one person... God.
If you will make it your goal to live a life that pleases him, it simplifies life. By serving him you will serve many.
You can take all of the steps from above and apply them to your life.
- Spend a lot of time with God talking about what he wants done on the Earth.
- How can you use your gifts, talents, and experience to help him?
- Begin to co-create with him based on what you are hearing
- Constantly be in communication with him about adjustments you need to make
- Make him your number one priority
If you have a business or ministry make pleasing God your target.
If you work for someone else, work like you are working for God.
