Here is today's communion meditation.
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
Recently we looked at Ecclesiastes 9:10 which says, "whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
There is a connection between these 2 verses because some of the same Hebrew words are used.
And it is often in the balance of scriptures that we find the truth. I think what these scriptures are telling us is that we are do to everything to the best of our ability to glorify God, but the real results don't come from our strength, power, or ability, but from God's Spirit.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the connection of these scriptures and what he is trying to show us. And we are asking him to help us apply what we learn so that we get results by His Spirit.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
The word for Spirit in both the Old and New Testament translates as wind or breath. Our workouts offer one of the best opportunities to practically understand the connection of these verses. In our workouts our breathing is supposed to lead our movement. We can use all of our might and power, but only after the Spirit gives the leading. We are to be led of the Spirit and then use all of our might and power.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
