How We Start the Day

Here is today's communion meditation.

Yesterday we talked about having "One Great Day." To focus on having one really great day where we bring God into the day with us, have the fruit of the Spirit flowing, walk in love, take action on what we know to do, and connect with people.

But to have one great day requires us getting the day started right, because it's easy forget when we wake up and start going through the motions. How we start the day sets the tone for the whole day.

I like to start the day with the words, "Let there be light," and then start filling up the basket of praise for who God is and all that he has done. Then I like to pray our daily prayer and spend a few minutes praying in the spirit while bringing people that I know to mind. And to have a great day this all needs to be done with energy and fervency so that we start the day in an energized state. After Bible reading it's time to attack whatever we have that day. Genesis 49:27 says Benjamin was a ravenous wolf and he devoured his pray in the morning.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of how we start our day, and we are asking him to help us consistently start our days the way he intended when he created us.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

The first food or drink we put in our mouth every day sets the tone for the whole day. I believe water should be the first thing we eat/drink every day.

 I am praying for you.
