Passover was the event that led to God's people being brought out of slavery and it says in Psalms 105:37 that when they came out they took the gold and silver of Egypt and there was not one feeble person among them. They were all divinely healthy when they came out.
On Passover the people applied the blood of the lamb onto their doors. It is a reminder that we should be giving thanks because God has released us from the darkness and transferred us into the light and into the kingdom of his dear son. He has released us from slavery to sin and transferred us into his kingdom.
When the people applied the blood to their doorposts they were divinely protected as long as they stayed in their houses. The blood created a hedge of protection. On Passover the people were commanded to eat every part of the lamb and not leave any of it remaining until the morning. With other sacrifices in the Old Testament there were certain parts of the animal that were not to be eaten but with the Passover lamb they were told to eat the whole thing.
Jesus is our Passover lamb, the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world who takes away our sins. Passover is reminder that we are supposed to be feasting on all of him. He is the word made flesh, and we can feast on him by feasting on God's word, the whole thing. Many people will only read the New Testament, but I believe it is good to read the whole Bible.
On the day after Passover the people marched triumphantly out of Egypt while the Egyptians were burying their dead. God's people came out loaded with gold and silver and there was not one feeble one among them out of 600,000 men plus women and children. This combination of applying the blood to their doors by faith and eating the whole lamb is what led to this.
To practically apply this for us here are some keys. God has transferred us into the light so stay focused on the light. Stay focused on God even when there are problems and he will bring you out better than you went in. Then feast on Jesus by feasting on the word of God, consuming the whole thing and reading the Bible front to back.
As we do this we can get to the place where there is not one feeble one.
As always with the Yearly Cycle, remember that these feasts are not something we do to earn anything with God. They are a gift God has given us to know him and Jesus better.
