Here is today's communion meditation.

Romans 14 provides advice on how to live in a way that is both pleasing to God and receives approval from people. Sometimes it can be hard to do both of these at the same time, because in an attempt to honor God we push others away. Down below is a passage from Romans 14:13-18 but I would encourage you to read the whole chapter of Romans 14 for context. Prior to this passage it talks about the important of conscience and not violating our own conscience or the conscience of others. To live in a way that is pleasing to God and approved by people, means we stop judging others and put no stumbling block in their way.

Here is the passage from Romans 14:13-18

13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

In today's communion we are asking for God's help to live in a way that is both pleasing to him and receives human approval.

Today's Health/Workout Tip

One of the exercises on the Daily Communion Workout is Broad Jumps (a standing long jump). If you are a beginner, haven't jumped in a long time, or have foot/ankle/knee/hip issues I don't recommend starting with these. Build up the other parts of the workout program first. But a long term goal is to restore our ability to move like kids, and kids love to jump. Whenever you start on broad jumps, start very small. Don't jump as far as you can. Start small because they tend to make your shins and abs sore(yes abs!) Gradually build up your ability to jump further while sticking the landing beautifully. Broad jumps once you are ready for them make you more powerful and restore your ability to move like a kid.

I am praying for you.

Daniel
