Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately God's been teaching me about the importance of taking a day of rest each week. God's given us the gift of rest, so that we can get refreshed.
But to truly rest it takes preparation. It takes work so that you can enter into the rest, because it's hard to truly rest when a bunch of things need to be done.
In the Bible the day before the Sabbath was known as Preparation Day. Mark 15:2 says, "Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath."
Something I have learned is that the more preparation is done before a rest, the more deeply we can rest.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us how to prepare the way he desires so that we can rest and refresh on a deeper level.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Preparation is a big part of health and fitness. In nutrition this means being prepared with healthy options. In health and fitness, you never know when you might need to jump, run, or stretch/bend in a weird way. The better we are prepared the easier it is to handle the unknowns.
