Good morning!
Today is Fellowship Friday - The Love Accelerator
(You can learn more about the 7 Accelerators here)
1 John 1:7 says, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
To walk in the light is also to walk in love, and the indicator is that we have fellowship with one another.
If there are any strained relationships, how could you take steps toward restored fellowship today?
And make it a priority to fellowship with people today.
Here is today's communion meditation. ( There is no video/audio today)
This month we are talking about Resetting the Imagination.
One of the most powerful communion meditations I’ve done came from Matthew 16 and Mark 8, when Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves. Thousands of people were in a remote place and didn’t have any food. They were in an impossible-looking situation. And Jesus took the little bit of bread and fish they had, looked up to heaven, gave thanks for the bread, and broke it just like he did in the communion at the last supper. Then he distributed the food and fed all the people.
Right after that happened, the disciples got into the boat to cross the sea. But the disciples had a problem: They hadn’t brought enough bread. So, the disciples started fighting with one another about the bread.
When I read this story, I can picture my kids fighting over the last cracker in the box. Jesus looked at his disciples and effectively said, “Guys, what’s wrong with you? Don’t you remember? Don’t you understand what just happened about an hour ago with the bread? We didn’t have enough bread, but God took care of us.”
In life, we face problems – and it’s easy to forget that we have access to God’s unlimited, inexhaustible supply. Communion is an opportunity to stir God being with us into our imagination every day.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Physical exercise is an expression of exercising your faith. As you learn to exercise your body it teaches you about exercising your faith and vice versa.
I am praying for you.
