Today we are continuing to look at Psalm 25:10 which says, "All of the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful to those who keep the demands of His covenant."
What are the demands of the New Covenant?
To believe in Jesus by putting our faith and trust in him and to walk in love. But what does this look like practically in our lives.
I think this means having faith and trusting in God/Jesus when he asks us to take a step of faith that doesn't look possible or to keep trusting in him when life throw difficult situations our way. And this faith and trust in him must have works to be complete. This means we need some proof as evidenced by our words and actions that we actually believe and trust in him to take care of us.
It also means walking in love. Jesus said that if we love him, we will obey him. And we must also walk in love with other people, which sometimes means doing good for them even when we don't feel like it and doing continually good for others even if they aren't good to us.
There is always grace and forgiveness if we slip up, but I believe these are the demands of the New Covenant. And in today's communion we are thanking God for the New Covenant and asking for his help to keep the demands of the covenant.
Today's Workout/Health Tip
What do you do if you are sore? Occasionally there will be some soreness from working out. If you are taking the gentle approach, we talk about there shouldn't be much soreness throughout the process(and yes you can make progress without getting sore!) but sometimes when you try something your body isn't used to there will be some soreness. The other day I sprinted for the first time in a while, and I had a little soreness in my legs and upper back. If you ever do get sore the best thing you can do is continue to move. Go through your normal workouts(but go lighter), stretch, walk, and move. The movement increases circulation in the body which allows the body to recover faster.
I am praying for you.
