The Eyes of Your Heart

Here is today's communion meditation.

Part of our Daily Prayer comes from Ephesians chapter 1, where the apostle Paul prays that the eyes of the peoples hearts would be enlighted to know the hope to which God has called us, the riches of his glorious inheritance that is in us, and the immeasurable greatness of his power to us who believe. 

But, what are the eyes of our heart?

We all come to conclusions about what is really true in life, and those conclusions frame our perspectives. And our perspectives change what we see in the world. Therefore for the eyes of our heart to see what God wants us to see we must be seeing with the eyes of our heart from the correct perspective. 

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the eyes of our heart, and to see with the eyes of our heart the things he wants us to see.
