Here is today's communion meditation.
In Numbers 17 is the story where whenever Moses holds his arms up during a battle the Israelites are fighting they are winning. But everytime Moses puts his arms down they start losing the battle. Moses ends up having people help him hold his arms up so that they win the battle.
After the battle it says in Numbers 17:14-16, "Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write an account of this victory, so that it will be remembered. Tell Joshua that I will completely destroy the Amalekites.” 15 Moses built an altar and named it “The Lord is my Banner.” 16 He said, “Hold high the banner of the Lord! The Lord will continue to fight against the Amalekites forever!”
The Lord is my banner is a name of God, and it was used to remember how God helped them win a battle.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what the Him being our banner means for us and to apply this understanding consistently.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
On those days when you don't feel like working out or are pressed on time ask this question... What can I do? Many times, just keeping the momentum and rhythm is more important than the actual workout.
I am praying for you.
