Here is today's communion meditation.
Two days ago was the Day of Atonement. In the Old Testament, the Day of Atonement was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies and make atonement for the sins of the people for the year. The place where atonement was made was the mercy seat, which was the covering of the ark of the covenant. The mercy seat, is also translated as the atonement cover. The Day of Atonement is a reminder of God's mercy to us in Christ. The mercy seat is also where God would appear to the priest and speak with them.
Exodus 25:22 says "There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel."
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's mercy, and we are asking him to teach us about the mercy seat, and what it means for us today.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In your workouts practice synchronizing your movement and your breathing, with your breathing leading your movement. Every movement should glide on a bed of air.
I am praying for you.
