Today's communion is a time of gratitude and receiving some amazing promises God has made in Jeremiah chapters 31 and 32 about the New Covenant.
Jeremiah 31:33-34
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Jeremiah 32: 38-41
And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. 39 I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.
Today's Workout/Health Tip
Something I have been experimenting with in the Daily Communion Workouts is having high days and low days. On the high days I do the workout as written on the Daily Communion Workout Guide. On the low days I have been doing the same workout with a few adjustments. The first adjustment is that I do a variation of each exercise that is slightly different. For example, instead of walking lunges I may do reverse lunges where I step backward instead of walking forward. Or on shoulder presses I may do them seated instead of standing, or with one dumbbell instead of working both arms at the same time. I do the same number of reps but keep the weights pretty light and do them with a much slower tempo trying to focus on the new angles of the muscles that are working in the new variation.
The reasoning for the high and low days is that I have learned grace flows in waves and waves have highs and lows. Keep in mind this is an adjustment I am making after about 4 months of doing exactly the same thing every day. Step one is to master the main movements by practicing them daily and then we can start to do variations of those movements with lighter weights and slower tempos.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
