Here is today's communion meditation.
In scripture the words "Cherish," and "Understanding," are often linked together. A few years ago, God really brought Proverbs 19:8 to life for me which says...
The one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.
God had shown me through Proverbs 4:7 that I needed to develop understanding, even if it cost me everything. And I went through 2-3 years of major struggle before I finally understood. What I needed to understand was grace. In His grace God is continually working for our good and he cherishes us as the apple of his eye. We often think God is mad at us and withholding things from us, but he never stops working for our good.
To cherish is a whole new level of love. To cherish means we go on the offensive and are continually looking for ways to be a blessing, even if people don't deserve it.
It's one thing to forgive and let things go, but it's a whole new level to be continually thinking about ways to bless others who have wronged you.
After God had showed me that I finally understood, I asked God in my journal one night when I was going to get everything back, because it had cost me a lot to understand.
The very next morning my answer came while reading Proverbs 19:8...
The one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God cherishes us, and we are asking for his help to understand his grace, cherish others the way he cherishes us, and to soon prosper.
Today's Health/Workout Tip
One of the things you will find in the Daily Workout is what I call the Instant Back Fix. This is a very simple way (it takes just a few seconds) to align your spine, and if you have back pain it helps to eliminate or reduce it very quickly. Your body has what I call Touchpoints, and you can think of your belly button like the reset or home button on your phone.
For this exercise lie on your back(but it can also be done seated or standing if needed), gently put your finger into your belly button and inhale deeply as you arch your back, then exhale through the mouth as you flatten your back. Just a few breathing cycles of this per day can do a lot.
This simple exercise is extremely effective, in fact I get testimonies all the time from people I have taught it to.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
