Lately we have been talking about the conversion or turning that happens in our bodies when we turn thoughts into action. We are also approaching the TURN of the year in the Feast of Purim(March 16-17), which is a reminder of how quickly God can turn the tables. In Purim the people were in an impossible situation, but God turned it around and gave them the upper hand.
As I was thinking about these things, I read Jeremiah 31 and the subtitle of the chapter is... The Lord Will Turn Mourning Into Joy.
Jeremiah 31;11-14 says, " For the Lord has ransomed Jacob and has redeemed him from hands too strong for him.
12 They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion, and they shall be radiant over the goodness of the Lord, over the grain, the wine, and the oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall languish no more.
13 Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
14 I will feast the soul of the priests with abundance, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, declares the Lord.”
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God can turn our mourning into joy and to receive these promises from him.
Today's Workout/Health Tip
On the workout there will be low days... Days when we are tired, low energy, etc. On these days something I have been experimenting with is adding some variety to the movements. In the Daily Communion Workout the goal is to master the fundamental exercises, but it is also good to get variety at times. So on the low days I have been doing the same movements but using a slightly lighter weight and changing slight variables such as a different hand position or foot position. For example, on deadlifts some days I will experiment with a wider or narrow stance or with a vary wide grip. When adding the variety it is an opportunity to keep the weights light and practice something new while still making progress, because training the muscles in slightly different angles often accelerates the progress on our main exercises.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
