The ability to control our time is an amazing gift God has given us. He has given us the ability to both speed up and slow down the way we experience time. And when we slow time down while accelerating our productivity it gives us a compounded effect of time going slower while we are moving faster which equals higher productivity in way less time.
In the gym I learned there are two ways to slow time....Being still and going really fast.
Imagine holding still in a plank or wall squat or even sitting still meditating. Time seems to go really slowly when we hold still.
On the other end a 20 or 30 second all out sprint also feels like forever.
These two principles can be applied with God. Be still and wait for his leading and direction each day or whenever you don't know what to do. Proverbs 8 says to wait in God's doorway and listen for him. Take the time to be still.
Then when you know what to do, take action immediately and go fast. Stay calm and relaxed but go fast.
In today's communion we are thanking God for the gift of being in control of our time and asking for his help to grow in these two areas of being still and being able to go fast and take action quickly when we know what to do.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
