What's your pattern when challenges come your way? Do you get discouraged, quit, and/or shy away from them? Or do you embrace them and persist through them?
July is a reminder of God's favor on our lives. His favor produces opportunities, but these new opportunities often come with some work and challenges on the other side. When God's favor opens a door it means you are ready for these new challenges. Whatever is on the other side he has more than likely already trained and prepared you for. We can meet these challenges with confidence because God is more than enough.
God made us to be overcomers and more than conquerors but this means there are going to be some challenges to overcome. God often puts us in situations that are disordered or challenging with the expectation that we can overcome by his power working within us.
In July some challenges may come your way. This may be new opportunities that require learning or doing something new or it may be some other challenges you need to face. When these challenges come we can handle them with boldness and confidence because we have God with us and nothing is impossible with him. We can run toward these challenges rather than away from them.
In today's Yearly Cycle video there is a special communion meditation for breaking the pattern of quitting and running away from challenges. The body of Jesus was broken to make us overcomers. The moment we break the bread can be symbolic of breaking our old patterns and stepping into a new way of living with boldness and confidence because God is with us.
When challenges come your way stay in the present moment and do one thing at a time. Keep doing the one thing you can do right now and the little steps when put in order will cause you to overcome every challenge that comes your way. And be of good cheer, because Jesus has overcome the world.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
