Be of Good Cheer
In John 16:33 NKJ Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart(be of good cheer) ! I have overcome the world.”
The Amplified version says, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]"
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that even when we have troubles we can still be of good cheer, because Jesus has overcome the world. And we are asking God for help to be of good cheer consistently.
Today's Health/Fitness Tip
In our workouts we will have troubles. There will be days when we are tired or have low energy. There will be days when we just don't have it. There may also be times when you have an injury or pain in your body. But even during these times we can be consistent. The question I always ask during these times is... What can you do? For example, I once helped someone with a broken wrist. This person could still walk, exercise their legs and their other arm. So we asked the question... What can you do safely?
Exercising consistently even while having the broken wrist kept her encouraged and when it came time to use the wrist again, she didn't miss a beat and kept going because she kept training through the whole time. Many things can be trained through by reducing the weight or number or reps, shortening the range of motion, doing a different exercise, or training a different part of the body?
I am praying for you.
