Plotting vs Planning
Lately we have been talking about planning and the concept of plotting vs planning keeps coming to mind. In the book of Proverbs there are several verses on planning but there are also several verses on how evil people spend time plotting.
Proverbs tells us that plans fail for lack of council, so I feel like the picture of planning is something that is meant to be done together, while the Hebrew words used for plotting in Proverbs imply creating a plan in secret or silence.
When thinking of plotting I also think of plotting points on a chart or map. To plot is to pick one spot or destination but to plan is to determine the steps or directions and the provisions that will be needed. The Hebrew words used for planning in Proverbs imply accounting, calculating, and designing. Jesus tells us before we build a tower to count the cost.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us the difference between plotting and planning and how to practically implement this in our life. Specifically, I am asking God for how we practically apply this into building our community in the Abundant Life Blueprint.
Today's Health/Fitness Tip
Lately I have been turning the Daily Communion Workouts into a 4 day workout cycle. Here is what I have been doing...
Day 1: The normal Daily Communion Workout - but I use slightly lighter weights than I was using.
Day 2: Everything stays the same except I divide all of the reps into 2 sets and use slightly heavier weights. For example, with shoulder press instead of doing 1 x 8 reps do 2 x 4 reps.
Day 3: The same as Day 1 but do variations of each exercise. For example, I do a slightly different kind of lunge, different hand positions or elevate my feet for pushups, wider or closer stance on deadlifts, etc. On this day I also use a slower tempo and focus on controlling the weights more.
Day 4: The same as Day 3 and I use the same exercises I used the previous day but I cut the reps in half again like I did on Day 2.
I am praying for you.
