The Connection Challenge Part 2: Connecting Spirit, Soul, & Body

Episode #64

This month our challenge is to connect on a new level... With God, our purpose, our loved ones, and community.

Last night we started part 2 of the Connection Challenge which is to connect our Spirit, Soul, and Physical Body.

For many of us who are seeking after God in our lives there is often a disconnect. We see all of the amazing promises that have been given to us in Christ, but we don't see the result of these promises showing up in our lives. 

It is through connecting Spirit, Soul, and our Physical body that we see accelerated results. 

The Spirit is the inner core of who we are, and the soul is the mind and emotions. Much of what God has done for us has taken place in our spirit and we must build a bridge in our soul to connect our physical bodies and see the results showing up in our lives. 

Here is a 10 minute exercise to do each day this week to practice connecting Spirit, Soul, and Physical Body. 

  1. Grab a pen and paper or something to take notes with.
  2. At the top of the paper write down a problem you need help with, an area where you have stress, or a question you need an answer to.
  3. Then put on music that you enjoy.
  4. While the music is playing pray in the Spirit or praise God while also moving your body. To move your body you can walk, dance, or do your workout. 
  5. While praying in the Spirit to the music and moving your body start to take notes on whatever comes to mind. 
  6. Do this each day for 10 minutes. My indicator that I really did this well is feeling more energized and a sense of flow by the time I am done. 

This short exercise is very simple but it is one of the best things I have found for increasing energy, improving health, increasing productivity, and it helps connect Spirit, Soul, and Physical body.

This is also training us with a different way to solve problems instead of toiling and stressing.
