Joyful Thanks to the Father
This month our challenge is to connect on a new level... With God, our purpose, our loved ones, and community.
Here is what we have worked on so far...
- Bringing a new level of awe and presence to our time of connecting with God
- Connecting spirit, soul, and body
- Connecting with our loved ones.
This week we are focusing on connecting with our community.
One of the verses that started off The Connection Challenge this month is 1 John 1:7 which says that if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship with God and with one another. One of the biggest shortcuts to walking in the light is simply to be thankful. But thankful for what?
Colossians 1:12 says we should be... Giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
Today's communion is a time of joyful thanks to the Father for qualifying us to share in the inheritance in the kingdom of light. And we are asking him for understanding of why giving joyful thanks is such an important part of walking in the light and for help to walk in this consistently.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Lately we have talked about the concept of bringing our best to the workouts while also making it beautiful. A way I have been thinking about this is by implementing a cycle of varying reps in the workouts.
Here is the cycle of days I have been using...
Day 1: Do 1 set of the prescribed reps on the Daily Communion Workouts
Day 2: Do 2 sets of half the reps. For example, instead of 8 reps do 2 sets of 4 reps. Set 1 uses a lighter/medium weight. Set 2 is aims for the best set of 4 reps.
Day 3: Do 3 sets. First set is half the reps of day one. Set 2 and 3 are a quarter of the reps. For example, 8 reps becomes 4, 2, and 2. Aiming for the best set of 2 reps.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
P.S. It's not too late to join us in the Connection Challenge.
