Partnership Turns the Tables

Episode #95

In September we are starting a new focus with The Financial Stewardship Challenge...

We are going to focus on becoming great stewards who manage, multiply, and greatly increase all that God has entrusted to us.

Our first step was taking accounting by listing out all of your current assets, liabilities(debts), and expected expenses and income for this month.

Yesterday we talked about taking quick action on the things we know to do because... Money Likes Speed.

But how we make decisions with our finances is very important. I view partnership as the table turner for finances. It is the one thing that can turn finances around faster than anything else. But this means that all financial decisions need to be made in full agreement with all of the partners.

Our first partner is God. If you are married, your spouse is the next partner that must be in agreement with all decisions. If you have business partners, partners in ministry, etc then decisions need to also be made in agreement with the partners.

If you get anything out of this Financial Stewardship Challenge, I believe the most important thing is to make stewardship decisions with your partners. Make Decisions Together!

For example, in my family's finances all decisions need to be made by bringing God and my wife into the decisions. If one of us doesn't agree, then we don't take that action. I have learned that a whole lot of financial issues can be avoided, and breakthroughs start happening if we get this right.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God wants to be our financial partner. And we are asking for his help to get this principle of partnership and agreement right, and to walk in this consistently from this point on.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

When travelling, bodyweight exercises are great. Calf raises, the mobility routine, stretching, squats, pushups, sit-ups, lunges, burpees, and mountain climbers can all be done with no equipment. If you are a beginner one set of squats, pushups, and some kind of ab exercise every day can keep you on track. If you are more advanced, try a 10-15 minute circuit of rotating through various bodyweight exercises with shorter rest breaks between exercises.

I am praying for you.

Daniel
