Truth is Progressive

Episode #245

Here is today's communion meditation.

The other day we talked about how the God's native language is the truth. While thinking about this I was reminded of a section in my book "The 8th Date," about how truth is progressive. Here is the passage:

God is orderly and sequential. Truth is no different. Truth is universally true no matter where you are, but truth must start as a seed and progress through levels. For example, God has planted truth in your heart, but it must progress into your mind, and then into your body, and then into the material world. Truth is progressive, or sequential—it must go through phases of growth. God always builds in layers. Think of the earth: It has layers with the inner core, crust, and more. Our skin, too, was built with multiple layers.

God has somewhere he wants to take us, and he must teach us in layers. If you’re teaching children how to read, they must first learn their alphabet and all of the letters. Then they must learn the sounds the letters make. Then they must learn how different combinations of letters make special sounds. Then they can start reading smaller words, then bigger words, and so on. You can’t just jump to reading bigger words. Truth is progressive, and you must follow the laws of growth to see the truth progressing in your life. In my own life, God will often show me things that I have no idea what to do with. But over the course of time, he will add another layer and it will all make sense.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how truth is progressive and to walk in higher levels of the truth.
