The Pressure of Excellence
Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday we talked about the importance of excellence in the little things. We talked about having a standard of excellence in our lives, with things as simple as putting away our coffee/tea mug in the morning after we use it. Jesus said if we are faithful in the little things we will be given much. And there is a saying that how you do anything is how you do everything. Something I have seen to be true in my own life, is that something as simple as putting a mug away begins to cause ripple effects for good into other areas of life.
But functioning in excellence can be a trap because we can be tempted to put all of the pressure on ourselves, which is very stressful. To truly function in excellence I think we must learn to roll the pressure over onto God and trust in his grace to supply us with a new standard for excellence.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us take the pressure off of ourselves and trust in him to be the source of our excellence in all things.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Our workouts are a time to practice taking the pressure off of ourselves and rolling it over onto God.
I am praying for you.
