Whatever You Have in Mind

Episode #415

Here is today's communion meditation.

In 2 Samuel 7:3 after David finally becomes king and is sitting in his palace the prophet Nathan tells him, " Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the LORD is with you."

Recently we've talked about a few scriptures that are similar to this. When Samuel anointed Saul to be king he told him that whatever his hand found to do, to do it because God was with him. In Ecclesiastes 9:10 Solomon said that whatever our hand finds to do, to do it with all of our might. And the word for might could actually be translated as all of God's power.

David had it in mind to build a house for God, and if we read on in this chapter it tells us that God picked Solomon to build the temple, but David began to get everything ready. He prepared all of the materials, the workers, and the plans for the temple in advance for Solomon.

We have God with us today, and I think we often underestimate how much God is trying to prompt ideas into our mind. If you have ideas for something good to do, go ahead and do it, for the Lord is with you.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand when what we have in mind is really from him.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

Recently we started God's Plan for Accelerated Body Transformation. Our goal is to have a 10 pound transformation in June, and if you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late.

One of our focuses in this new program is going for walks with God. As we walk with God, he is going to give us ideas for things to do. But, life has a way of trying to throw us out of rhythm when we make a commitment to walk with God more often, so make sure to prioritize your walking.

I am praying for you.
