40 Days of Teshuva
Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday we started the 40 Days of Teshuva, which are the 40 days that lead up to the Day of Atonement. In the Jewish culture the Day of Atonement was considered the holiest day of the year, because it was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the holy of holies to make atonement for the sins of the people.
In Acts chapter 3 people asked the disciples what they should do after the good news was preached to them. And the disciples said, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, ( Acts 3:19)
In today's communion we area asking God to help us walk in the refreshing he has for us.
