Loving One Another - A Way of Life
Here is today's communion meditation.
Recently we started the 40 Days of Teshuva( Teshuva = turn or repent), which are the 40 days that lead up to the Day of Atonement. In the Jewish culture the Day of Atonement was considered the holiest day of the year, because it was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the holy of holies to make atonement for the sins of the people.
Part of Teshuva is examining ourselves and making adjustments. And one of the most important areas to examine is if we are walking in love.
1John 4:11 says, " Delightfully loved ones, if he loved us with such tremendous love, then “loving one another” should be our way of life!"
In today's communion we are asking God to reveal to us any areas where we are not loving well, and to help us turn it around, so that loving one another is our way of life.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
The scriptures tell us we should be nourishing and cherishing our body, because they are the temple of God. These 40 days are also a good time to examine how well we are loving ourselves. If you are off track, give yourself grace, and get back on track.
