Confident Expectation
Here is today's communion meditation.
Have you ever felt like you were stuck in the rut of the daily grind? Like it's just another day you are trying to get through?
Something I feel like God has been teaching me lately is the power of confident expectation in God to break us free from the ruts, and truly make today a masterpiece, because this is the Day the Lord has made, and we are supposed to be glad and rejoice in it.
Isaiah 30:18 AMPC says, "Therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you…. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him."
Rather that today being just another day, let's set our expectation on God eagerly desiring to be gracious and do good for us today.
We are in the 40 days of Teshuva, which is time to examine ourselves and change our ways.
Let's let today's communion be a time to activate walking in confident expectation in God for walking in the fullness of what he has for us today.
