Deep Waters
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately I've been thinking about deep waters.
Proverbs 20:5 says, "The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out."
And Proverbs 18:4 says, "The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook."
Notice the connection between our purpose and our words both being likened to deep waters.
The other day I was draining the water out of an above ground pool with a pump. There was a hose hooked to the pump that sent the water out of the pool. On the other end of the pump was the cord that plugged into the electrical outlet.
I felt like God was showing me that we have a pipeline of living water on the inside of us full of God's love, energy, peace, joy, kindness, faith. self-control, finances, health, and so much more. But it must be pumped or drawn out of us.
On the other end the pump must stay plugged in, and I think the way we keep the pump plugged in is with the Confident Expectation for Good, because we trust that God is with us.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about the deep waters within us, so that we can see all of the good things hidden in them, flowing in our life.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
The lymphatic system is the water system of the body, and it doesn't have a pump other than the muscles. When we move, it circulates the lymphatic system, which keeps the body clean and free from inflammation.
